Is this Veg Box Scheme right for you?

Collection, Not Delivery: I (or someone else) will be able to collect my veg every Wednesday/Thursday between 12:30-19:00 from Meanwood Valley Urban Farm. I understand this is not a delivery service. 

Wait Time Before Receiving My First Box: After signing up, I understand that I won’t receive my first share in the same week. There is an 8-15 day wait to allow us to plan our harvest and manage orders responsibly. You will receive an email confirming when your first share will be ready. 

No Pausing Membership: I understand that I cannot pause my membership. If I can’t collect my share or arrange for someone else to collect it on my behalf, my share will be donated to local food projects. If I’m going on holiday or can’t collect, I’ll make arrangements for someone else to pick up and enjoy my vegetables, or I’ll let you know to donate it instead. 

Sharing the Rewards & Risks: I accept that as part of the CSA, I’ll share both the rewards and the risks of locally grown, chemical-free food. While we strive to grow high-quality produce, some crops may not perform as expected due to factors outside our control, especially between June and November when the bulk of our produce comes from our Market Garden. On the flip side, when there’s an abundance, I’ll get extra! 

Certified Organic Produce: I understand that my share will include chemical-free produce from our Market Garden, as well as other certified organic farms. In summer, most of the produce will come from our own garden, but in winter, the balance shifts, and the majority will be sourced from trusted partners like Organic North Wholesalers, Meanwood Microgreens, and Kirkstall Valley Farm. This ensures a year-round supply! 

Cancellation Policy: If I need to cancel, I understand I must email directly at veg@mvuf.org.uk and that there’s a two-box cancellation notice. This is necessary as it takes time to recruit new members, and during peak season, it can be difficult for our small team to manage admin quickly.
