Dexter cows

A short-legged miniature breed. Usually black, though can also be red or dun.
A dual-purpose breed, providing copious amounts of milk, and surprising amounts of meat for their size.
Bred in Ireland by a Mr. Dexter of Tipperary in 1750 from the mountain cattle of that area.
Important as our only dwarf breed of cattle. Also makes an excellent ‘house cow,’ as it produces
meat and milk more efficiently than larger breeds.
