What’s for sale at Meanwood Valley Urban Farm?
At the Farm, we have a surprisingly wide variety of items for sale; such as recycled bicycles, fresh farm eggs, plants, bird and bat boxes, and farm related gifts and toys.
From our Market Garden organically grown seasonal fruit and vegetables are available in the Farm Shop; including crocosmia, choisya, fuscia and rosemary plants to beetroot, cabbage, cucumber, leeks and onions, our produce often features varieties that supermarkets just don’t sell. Take home a selection and give your family’s taste buds a real treat! A range of individual potted plants available for purchase is on display outside the greenhouse. Towards the end of Summer, we have different varieties of incredibly tasty honey, which is extremely popular and always sells out fast!
If you are looking for something specific it is best to phone the Farm to check in advance, otherwise just pop in for a browse!
Most mornings, there are plenty of freshly laid Farm eggs available in our shop for the bargain price of £1.20 per half dozen.
Bicycles are reconditioned in our bike workshop by trainees on one of our educational projects. Trainees are closely supervised and their work inspected by Robert Paige, Education Officer and qualified bike mechanic. There are bicycles for different ages and interests; from adult racers to childrens mountain bikes. We advise you phone the Farm to check what is available.
The money raised goes towards keeping the Farm going; through buying animal feed, bird seed, equipment, materials, and general upkeep.
So buy from the Farm and help our charity at the same time!
Thank you for your support.
